Your 2 Cents: A little change makes a big difference
A little change makes a big difference.Your 2 Cents is an innovative program that unites producers, consumers, researchers and educators to launch the next generation of organic farmers.
Thanks to our partners, your two cents can make a big difference. For every case of product sold, two cents will be donated to the Your 2 Cents Fund, which will: • Award scholarships to students of organic agriculture • Assist new organic farmers • Help veterans establish new careers in organic farming • Support research projects on organic agriculture Every company that participates will also have a seat on the Your 2 Cents Advisory Board, which will determine how to allocate the funds on a quarterly basis and ensure that your two cents does, in fact, count. We are now accepting applications from farmers, veterans, and students interested in how they can benefit from Your 2 Cents. Submit your application with Rodale Institute today!
Listen to Mark "Coach" Smallwood, Rodale Institute Executive Director, outline the program in the following video: Rodale Institute and Your Two Cents from Raymond Singer on Vimeo.

Your two cents
I just reviewed the video about your two cents and find it exciting for the young upcoming farmers, yet was disappointing when Mr. Singer spoke about veterans of the most recent conflicts, although they do deserve our respect I felt as a viet nam veteran we have been looked over and forgotten. Not only in this instance but in many others. My wife and myself have been small scale organic farming for many years...as a hobby and for our personal consumption. However now that we are at retirement age we have decided to go ahead and start our own market garden farm. It's near imposable for people of our age to get help let alone be recognized as a DAV and have anyone help us with finance or cooperation with getting started. Remember 65 is not a death sentence we have lots of needs and lots to contribute in experience. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to voice my opinion. I do feel the Rodale Institute is a great organization for the organic farmer.
Wow!
This looks like a great program!
