Trees for Your Backyard and Basic Pruning Practices
Time:
Oct 30 2010 - 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Trees are the most long-lasting plants in the landscape, and in addition to their beauty, trees have a range of benefits—from providing habitat for wildlife to increasing property value. This workshop will discuss site assessment, basic tree identification and selection, estimated height, spread and root development, care and maintenance. You will also learn practical pruning principles and review proper pruning equipment and maintenance. Bring along your old and new pruning tools (or try ours!) and dress appropriately for the weather; we will be outside.
Maximum class size: 25
Pre-registration required.
Instructor: April Johnson
