Join Rodale’s Chief Scientist and microbiologist Dr. Elaine Ingham for a comprehensive look at compost extract technology. You probably heard about compost tea before but the evolving technology has changed the way we make and use liquid extracts of compost. This class will address: standards, recipes, water sources, brewing cycles, aeration, microbial populations, lab assays and equipment. The class includes use of a microscope to identify organisms present in various recipes and live demonstrations of brewing operations in the Rodale Institute’s labs.
