November 21, 2004: Bayer CropScience, has formally removed
its last two applications to grow genetically-modified
corn in Britain. Bayer had the only remaining applications
on file according to a report in the Independent news.
Bayer is withdrawing the applications despite the government
end to the moratorium on cultivation of genetically
modified crops citing the restrictions on growing genetically
modified as too strict.
