GM-firms extinguish dreams of British fields

November 21, 2004: Bayer CropScience, has formally removed its last two applications to grow genetically-modified corn in Britain. Bayer had the only remaining applications on file according to a report in the Independent news. Bayer is withdrawing the applications despite the government end to the moratorium on cultivation of genetically modified crops citing the restrictions on growing genetically modified as too strict.
