Transition to Organic Farming

Transitioning your farm to organic production can be intimidating if you don’t have the complete information on the federal standards and the resources available to guide you through the process. Rodale Institute has developed such resources, available to anyone, anywhere and at any time. Our Transition to Organic online course and accompanying tools serve farmers in this country and all over the world who are interested in finding out what, how and when to change their practices to receive organic certification.

This one-day course developed in collaboration with Pennsylvania Women’s Agricultural Network (PA-WAgN) offers participants the opportunity to see first-hand some of the organic practices described in the online course, and to learn from farmers who have made the transition and from experts in the field. 

This course is designed for farmers who have at least basic farming knowledge.
