Let's review what is in each module. • Getting started displays all instructions on what you need in order to take the course, how to navigate through the course and the tools linked to it. • Why organic? is a discussion of some of the benefits of organic agriculture as well as a brief history of The Rodale Institute. • Soils is a discussion of healthy soil as the foundation of your success in organic farming. • Crops is a discussion of organic crop production. • Livestock is a discussion of basic livestock practices and information for various species. • Marketing is a discussion of overall organic market trends and opportunities. In this module you will be introduced to the second course tool, the Crop Conversion Calculator. • Certification is a discussion of the actual process of organic certification of your operation. • Wrap-up is the last unit. It holds your Certificate of Completion. Visit this unit for a few suggestions about how to stay in touch with the organic community and The Rodale Institute.
