Six common hazardous chemicals found in participants of CDC study
The CDC conducts research every two years identifying human exposure to toxic chemicals. Out of the 212 chemicals tested, researchers found all 212 in studied Americans, including six widespread chemicals considered highly dangerous.
The most common chemicals identified included PDEs, bisphenol A (BPA), mercury and MTBE, among others.
The biomonitoring study implemented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that every chemical examined in the study was present in one or more of study participants. To aid in lowering the amount of chemicals in Americans in the future, the report included strategies on avoidance of the chemicals and products that contain them.
