Nominations sought for Young Eco-Hero award program

The International Young Eco-Hero Award is designed to recognize and reward the work of young people between the ages of 8 and 16 who have done unique, creative environmental work. Winning entries are models to other youth on the many way to make a difference in their communities.

Winners, who receive a cash prize and recognition for their project, have been listed for the past seven years’ contests online at the sponsor’s site.

Organic and sustainable agriculture projects would be great entries, so make sure young people with projects know about this contest. Deadline to apply is February 28.
