SLIDESHOW: Living plants out-last, out-perform roof shingle

Plywood over 2x10 rafters, 12 inches on center, covered with a rubberized (EPDM) material is the foundation for this roof. The system is designed to support 60 lb. per square foot to accommodate a fully saturated living roof and up to 5 feet of snow and high wind.

Added over the EPDM membrane is a non–woven geotextile made from recycled polypropylene, which is covered with a multi-layered, polypropylene and acrylic blend drainage material. (These layers are visible here.)

thank you for.....

Dear Rochdale Institute,

I am very grateful for your kindness in keeping sending me this very important information especially in ORGANIC Farming.

This is my important reference in my work as Organic farmer/trainor/lecturer and promoter.

Iam from the Philippines where most of the farmers are still practicing chemical faming /western farming practices.

This in information that I subscribe from you is a great source of information and inspiration.

My sincere gratitude.
