Research forecasts glimmers of credible voluntary carbon standard for pasture

Altering grazing practices and improving grassland and rangeland management worldwide may have the power to sequester 1.3 billion – 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2030, say researchers at the World Agroforestry Center in Beijing. It’s up to the UN to draft and enforce such standards, giving incentives to at least 120 million farmers worldwide who could benefit the environment by tweaking their practices. Full Story: Reuters
