"Arms strong and hands calloused, eyes open to the beauty of every morning, spirits prepared for the long row still to hoe, hearts full with the support of family and community…" begins the lyrical manifesto posted by Severine von Tscharner Fleming, 27, director of The Greenhorns and farmer/activist in the Hudson Valley of New York, and Zoë Ida Bradbury, 29, Oregon farmer and Food & Society Policy Fellow.
