SLIDESHOW: New farming strategy for the 21 Century, Part I

Farmers, professors, gardeners, researchers, agribusiness persons and others gathered for the annual Rodale Institute Field Day held July 18, 2008. The day’s sweltering heat failed to dampen enthusiasm of more than 100 participants for learning about current organic no-till system details and field experiences. (This is the first of two slideshows linked to reports of the day’s interactive information sessions. The second installment will go up in two weeks.)

Welcoming guests in the Institute’s Red Barn was Tim LaSalle, CEO, who presented organic farming research breakthroughs in the context of how documented benefits can practically address the global challenges of climate change, hunger and nutrition.
