Blogging and documenting the food revolution

Young creative types everywhere are forwarding the “good food” movement through the clever application of both new and tried-and-true media technologies. One of our evolving favorite projects is www.digginfood.com by Willi Evans-Galloway (aka Organic Gardening magazine’s West Coast editor). Willi’s blog is a thoughtful and attractive tour in words and pictures of what she likes best about eating, cooking and gardening, and how these interests come together for her in her own backyard, kitchen and community. Willi is cool and smart and offers great examples of how to live simply with style…and her backyard chickens are oh-so cute. Another project we have our eye on is the documentary “What’s Organic about Organic?”  It’s a fairly complex question these days. Nevertheless, it’s an important one to ask, and filmmaker Shelley Rogers does a superb job of bringing answers to the table through the perspectives of a handful of farmers, educator and food activists.
