Global warming coverage in less developed countries falls short
Journalists in the developing world are having difficulty telling their audiences about global warming. Many of them are incredibly under-informed about some of the most basic facts concerning the issue and deal with editors who do not think it important enough to warrant coverage. This means that the viewers get only a vague, misrepresented version of reality. It is then easy for the leaders of these countries to blame natural disasters on climate change and insist that “the rich nations that have done the most to cause it,” while ignoring their own environmental management, according to this report.
