Switching to organic can be good for dairy farmers

A study by the University of Guelph says that, while it is more labor-intensive, transitioning to organic farming is still profitable for dairy farmers. According to economist Jim Fisher, it is more difficult to farm organically, and farmers have to be extremely committed to doing things that conventional farms do not.
