Family says raw milk farm will continue after E. coli plea deal

A Washington couple who continues to operate a raw-milk dairy has entered a guilty plea to federal charges stemming from a 2005 event when 18 people were sickened from raw cow’s milk distributed through a cow-share arrangement.

Follow-up inspections found several violations at the farm, which at the time was unlicensed. During the state and federal prosecutions that followed, the farm has made substantial improvements and is now licensed to distribute raw goat’s milk, but it is prohibited from selling raw cow’s milk.Full story: The Daily News (Longview, Washington)
