Papua New Guinea-Australia greenhouse gas effort found wanting

International cooperation to cut greenhouse gas emissions is a good thing, but the talk has to lead to something tangible. Papua New Guinea and Australia agreed to work together to reduce New Guinea’s high rate of deforestation to help reduce emission rates and slow land clearing. However, the partnership has been criticized after the publication of a study that looked at deforestation trends.
