Corporations endorse climate change legislation

Eleven major companies that are trying to reduce their carbon emissions with the help of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) went to the senate recently to push for the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act of 2008. The companies say that they know “that ignoring climate change is not an option” and that laws to control it will be necessary in the near future.The article says that the involvement of these corporations is an indicator that addressing this problem is in the country’s economic interests.
