GM crops won’t help food crisis
Dr. Mae-Wan Ho warns that genetically modified organisms (GMOs) will make the global food crisis worse. She says that the genetic engineering of plants and animals is “based on an obsolete theory” that does not account for the fluidity of the genome. She also reports that a great number of independent scientists have found problems with GM crops. These include, among other things, that they do not increase yields or reduce pesticide use and that they do harm to wild life and can be hazardous to human health.
