Climate change will be costly for Andean countries
Researchers from the Andean Community of Nations have estimated the expenses likely to stem from climate change for several South American countries. With data extrapolated from a range of international studies about the economic impact of natural disasters, the researchers found that Peru, Columbia, Ecuador and Bolivia could be paying up to “$30 billion per year by 2025.” Since these countries can provide researchers with an idea of the impacts of global climate change worldwide, they are a good place for studies on how the rest of the world might cope with these upcoming challenges.
