World CO2 levels highest in 650,000 years

Atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide are at an all-time high, according to scientists at the Mauna Loa observatory on the island of Hawaii. The figures confirm  that  CO2, the most prominent greenhouse gas, is accumulating in the atmosphere much more rapidly than expected.  Some scientists fear this is a sing that the earth is losing its natural ability to store carbon.Full story
