CDC says global warming a serious public health concern
After being censored by the White House in October of last year, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) finally told the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming that there is "strong scientific evidence" that climate change will have a "significant impact on health." Some of the concerns Howard Frumkin, a senior official at the CDC, covered were heat waves, drought and floods, food- and water-borne infectious diseases, air pollution, and vector-borne and zoonotic diseases.
